My team and I had a great time in Harbour Island, we would like you to know that we got great service from your staff and everything went as planned.
Both sailings were very enjoyable, especially the return on Wednesday evening. The entire crew was great, especially the Capt. (Ash). On the heels of some very poor service and attitudes from the airlines lately, it was nice to travel and actually enjoy the travel part.
I had the pleasure of travelling to Sandy Point, Abaco on the Whit Monday Holiday weekend. Initially, I was going to travel by air but after calling Bahamas Fast Ferries and speaking to your manager, Daria Wilson, I decided to sail instead. I had serious concerns about leaving my vehicle in the parking lot over the weekend but she assured me that she would allow me to use her parking space, which was nearer the building where the security was stationed.
When I arrived, she was true to her word and came out and moved her car so that I could park there. She also made sure that my bags were taken care of.
Ms. Wilson provided exceptional customer service and it is because of her that I will be a repeat patron of Fast Ferries. Additionally, because of my great experience, I will refer other persons.
Kindly convey my sincere gratitude to Ms. Wilson for a job Well Done!
At the dock I meet your freight manager; Mr. Greg Mackey (I think that’s the name) who explained that you don’t receive freight in the mornings, however, in spite of this fact the gentleman made every effort to accommodate me. It only took a few moments for me to realize why you have a no early morning freight policy, and how extraordinary my circumstances were, nonetheless, Mr Mackey did his best to accommodate me, and by extension my customer.
Quality Customer service is almost unheard of in this country today, and so, I just thought you should know that I left there feeling really good about Fast Ferries and conducting business with your company.

We would like to express our gratitude to Captain Lewison Williams, who went beyond the call of duty on March 27th, 2013. After landing in Nassau on his ship that brought us from Harbour Island, we were unable to find a taxi for over 30 minutes despite repeated attempts. Not only was it cold, but we were late for an important business meeting with the head of the Caribbean Pharmacists’ Association. Captain Lewison, likely noting our distress, kindly offered us a ride, taking our luggage and family of four to our destination, with kindness and good humour.
Imagine our surprise and delight that such generosity be shown to four Canadians, who, truth be told, were already smitten by the warmth and hospitality of the Bahamians. Captain Williams was the proverbial “icing on the cake” and his gesture capped off an incredible week in your beautiful country.
We wanted to be sure you were aware of this act of kindness and of the superior staff in your employ.
I contacted your establishment on Tuesday past to obtain your sailing times for February 9th, 2013 into Harbour Island and spoke with Mr. Pernell Poitier who provided me with the times asked for. I then requested that Mr. Poitier suggest a hotel in Harbour Island for a stay. Mr. Poitier told me that he will check on that information for me and contact me back, in the process taking an E-Mail address from me. I was very hesitant as most businesses in Nassau never follow through, but left my information none the less. I am writing to say how pleased I was that Mr. Poitier E-mailed me the very next day with full detail of hotels with prices to choose from. Mr. Poitier also went the extra mile of sending me a copy of your sailing schedule daily with the price for tickets included. I cannot express how impressed I am that this was done. I work in the Customer Service Industry and my company takes Customer Service very seriously, I have had the opportunity to experience excellent Customer Service through this young man and I love it. Please encourage him to continue to be serious about his job. Please do not let my compliment go unnoticed. Encouragement is key. I feel so comfortable now with your establishment that I am definitely looking forward to having my family sail with you on the upcoming date and also many more to come.
I have just confirmed with the manager in the warehouse that Mr. White has made sure that my car will be secured until it is actually loaded in the morning. They do not normally do this as their warehouse is very small but Mr. White has made this happen. I am very grateful to him for all of his hard work and phone calls to try and reassure me every day that I would be taken care off. I want to thank you Joy for always being available throughout this ordeal. You were always very professional, polite and ready to help in any way you could. When something like this happens having people like you and Mr. White trying to help you on the ground makes the difference between me recommending and using your service again or telling everyone what a horrible experience this was! Although I understand that the people behind the scenes are really the ones that make it happen I would like to thank you for never once making me feel as if this was simply “MY” problem.
Bahamas Fast Ferry has truly exceeded my expectations and I will definitely recommend your services and use your services again in the future.
It is not often that I post my personal experience with businesses online; however my faith was rejuvenated in Bahamian companies this week with regards to customer service.
I booked a trip into Sandy Point, Abaco on Friday of last week to return Wednesday the 6th, August at 1:00 am. I paid for the trip at their Potter’s Cay facility after verifying the sailing times on their website.
I received a phone call yesterday (Tuesday 5th) around noon indicating that there had been a mishap in the scheduling, there was no vessel departing on Wednesday and I’d have to leave on the next vessel that was leaving on Friday. I expressed my concern for lodging to the individual making the call. I was directed to lodge my concerns with the complaints Manager who was on leave before the call ended.
Subsequently, i called Bahamas Ferries requesting to speak with someone in management. I was turned onto the Promotions Manager Ms. Keishel McAlpine who arranged a private charter to return my family and I to New Providence.
Upon arrival, she confirmed that we arrived safely and offered a courtesy car for us to use until our vehicle returned on Friday which we declined.
They’ve also offered my family and I round trip tickets to any destination to which they sail for our inconvenience.

I am writing this letter as a humble note of appreciation for the outstanding customer service provided by Waltonique Sands today. I became frustrated while trying to find answers on what’s required of me to ship my vehicle from Freeport Grand Bahama to Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas. Not only did she walk me through the process, but at the end of the conservation my frustration was nil and I’m well on my way in receiving my vehicle here in Marsh.
I really commend the prompt service provided. Great service makes your customers feel that you care about developing a long-term relationships. Keep up the good work.
