Continuing our mandate to have a fully well trained team, Day Away Coordinators participated in a one week work shop hosted by Mr. Craig Mortimer. This training was also held at our Potter’s Cay Dock Location.
This training session, addressed topics such as: The Value of the Customer, Customer Communication (verbal and nonverbal), Handling Difficult Customers, Attitude Adjustments, Tour Guide Skills, Presentation Skills, and Group Management Skills, Interpretation Skills (history, heritage, and culture).
During the training, the Coordinators, who are all new to this training program saw it as an eye opener. Even though they have conducted the Day Away Tour and Student Educational Tour previously, they still said it was insightful and it brought them a wealth of information. One participant said “this training was phenomenal and far exceeded their expectations.”
