With the recent partnership between Bahamas Ferries and Going Places Travel, Bahamas Ferries customers can now purchase tickets from any Going Places Travel location. According to Darnell Frazer, Sales & Marketing Manager, Bahamas Ferries, “this is all about making it convenient for our customers to purchase tickets at more locations in New Providence, Eleuthera, Exuma and Freeport.” In the last three years, Bahamas Ferries has been enhancing the ease of doing business with the company, and this new partnership with Going Places Travel is the perfect synergy that will benefit its customers.
Cassie-Marie St. John, Marketing Manager, said partnering with Bahamas Ferries gives our clients the added benefit of booking domestic travel with ease. “Another great benefit to us is that we’re able to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for making travel arrangements domestically for our clients,” she said “It’s also a great way to be a part of the domestic tourism market which will in turn help in the promotion of local businesses.”
Recently, customers have expressed increased frustration in purchasing tickets at Bahamas Ferries due to the congestion on Potter’s Cay Dock, particularly during peak travel times. Mrs. Frazer said in response to our customers’ concerns, we have aligned ourselves with an experienced partner in the travel industry who has the infrastructure and expertise to assist our customers. In New Providence, customers can purchase tickets from Going Places Travel locations at Cable Beach, Golden Gates Shopping Center, Old Fort Bay Town Center, Mall at Marathon and Charlotte Street. With customers having the ability to purchase tickets online and now at Going Places Travel, Bahamas Ferries is meeting the needs of its entire customer base since some customers prefer online purchases while others want to speak to a customer service representative to purchase tickets.
Now, not only can customers purchase passenger and vehicle tickets through Going Places Travel, but they can also purchase group tickets. According to Ms. St. John, all locations are capable of handling group reservations. “However, as it relates to school groups our Mall at Marathon location has two experienced team members dedicated to handling these reservations. This location is ideal and the most convenient,” she said.
